When people ask me “What do you do?” I usually just say that I help other people run their businesses. If they want more information than that, I explain a bit about my daily activities like social media, content creation, admin, marketing, website management, finance, etc. The list goes on.
But the truth is, I do way more than just my daily to do list. We all do. What we call our mundane everyday activities are changing people’s lives all over the world. Everything you do makes a difference. Someone making coffee could make the drink that a person is drinking while they reconnect with a family member. A CFO is ensuring that a whole company’s worth of people are able to support themselves and any family. An influencer might be the only bit of social connection someone isolated has in a day.
Every job does more than just their to do list. So here’s what I do:
I give clients their time back. I literally take things off their plate so they have more time to do more important things in their business or even their personal lives. Maybe because of me they have time to go to their kids play or have date night with their partner again.
I make things easier for clients. I solve problems and give how tos. I stop overwhelm and confusion. I research things so they don’t have to and I make templates to improve their productivity. I make them feel like they can do this.
I help clients expand and grow their businesses. I make more possibilities for them to do more things. I help them earn more by allowing them to spend more time in their zone of genius. I create opportunities for them to step outside their comfort zone and get better.
I help clients recover from burnout. I reduce their stress levels and give them the space they need to relax and take their foot off the pedal. To heal their minds and their bodies.
I give clients a friend. Someone to talk to about their business who gets it. Who’s in there with them. Someone who understands the highs and lows of running a business and who wants them to succeed more than anything! I care about them.
So tell me in the comments, what do you do?
