Congratulations on booking a discovery call!
That’s such amazing news and you should absolutely celebrate. Have a chocolate biscuit, a slice of cake and a cup of tea or (glass of wine!). You’ve done great!
But now the hard bit… converting a call to a sale.
This is the scariest part of the process in my opinion. You’re usually talking to someone for the first time, you’re trying to establish whether you’re a good match to work together and then if you are a good match you’re trying to get that sale.
I’ve pulled together a few tips to help you prepare for your call.
- Make sure you have a note pad or document open to write down anything important that you discuss. I like to use a note pad as I use zoom for my calls and like to have the screen open on their face! After the call, I then break down my notes into a to-do list.
- Prepare anything you know you have to mention in advance. These are things such as payment prices for your offers, what your boundaries are, what services you do offer and what you don’t do. The reason you want to have these all written out is so the adrenaline won’t cause you to forget to talk about them when the time comes to talk!
- Think about the call journey! You want to know where the call is going, what questions are you going to ask and give them the opportunity to ask questions too. Remember this isn’t a job interview, more like a get to know each other!
I hope these tips help and you convert all of your calls.
