A word of the year, if you haven’t heard of it before, is a singular word that you want to represent your year.

You can use the word you choose to set goals or intentions for each area of your life. You’ll have them all tie back to the single word. For example, my word of the year is Peace so my goals are all oriented around helping me find Peace. I have sub-goals of finding peace in my business so I’m comfortable with everything and peace of mind to reduce my anxiety.

You should put the word in places you’ll see it a lot such as your phone screen, on your fridge, on the front of your planner.

I’ve collated some other examples of words you could use for your word of the year:

“Discipline” could mean going to the gym, sticking to an evening routine, and no longer being late to meetings.

“Abundance” may mean investing in an abundant number of friendships, or hitting an income goal or spending more quality time with the people you love without your phone

“Connect” Could mean you want to network more, try and see friends and family more and deepen your connection with your partner.

Here are some more:

Pretty much any word could be your word of the year. If you’re struggling to choose a word, try thinking about what you want to achieve this year. If when you see it or say it you feel a strong emotional reaction, this is likely your word.
